Excellent Service

This is a well made product from a small company with excellent personal customer service. The speaker system has a handy clip-on handlebar mount with good sound quality and volume. The pack is portable and convenient. I store my gloves and safety items in it. The built-in phone charger is a plus.

I contacted the company when I switched phones just after purchasing this item. My new phone no longer fit into the casing. They had a modification I could make to the casing, which I was happy to do. But then, to my surprise, they decided to just send me a whole new unit with a new casing that fit my phone. They even sent me a prepaid return mailer for my other unit. It's refreshing to find a company that offers such a high level of personalized customer service and is a large part of my 5-star rating.

Just a heads up. Though the speakers are perfect for personal riding, they are probably not loud enough if you plan to use them for shared group music (as part of a critical mass ride or something similar).

Its about as loud as a small boom box would be. definitely loud enough for a ride. First time using it, about 20 mins into the ride I opened the front cover to change a setting on my ipod nano and the cover broke off from the bottom hinge. I can still Use it. It has clips on the side that locks it in place but if I open it up during a ride Im sure I will eventually drop it or loose it. I guess I can use duct tape to keep it in place but I dont think a $216.00 product should break 20 mins into use. The logo is kinda gay looking and generic, but I knew that before I bought it. Its kinda bulky and covers up my head light. I knew that would happen. When riding, it will slide lower and lower. Especially if you off road or have a bumpy ride. you can always pull it back up. The mounting bracket does seem sturdy enough. I dont think it will break off. Looks like it was well constructed and sturdy so far (except for the cover). I dont think it will rip but I only just started using it. I will update if any defects show up. Overall, I think its a great product. I would have something added to it to be able to clip on a light as an accesory. The on/off button is easy to use even with riding gloves on but the volume may get a bit tricky. I like the usb port. seems preety solid but when I tried to pull out my china made cable, it ripped right off. I had to pry it out with a screw driver. Even that required a bit of work. I started off with 4 stars but after re reading my own review I downgraded to 3. lol. I really like it but it does have some issues. If it were $100 product I would be ok with it. Just not sure its worth $200.

*Update 8/9/12 - Wow!!! I was both surprised and impressed today when I received a package from the seller. In it contained 2 replacement covers, a cable that will solve the issue with it sliding down and a signed personalized letter from the VP of Operations, Sherri Besser. I had not contacted the seller in any way and was willing to live with this product as is. They must have reaad my review and simply took it upon themselves to correct any issues and insure 100% customer satisfaction. You dont really see much of that from too many companies anymore. Just read the reviews from even some of the top name brands out there. #1 complaint is usually customer service. (which is what I actually expected and why I was willing to live with it.) I upgraded my rating to 5 stars plus some. IMHO, Thats definitly worth the price!

The cover was really easy to replace. Apparently its designed for easy replacement. The cable, if installed correctly, will keep it from sliding down. Also very easy to install with minimal effort. I didnt realize thats what it was for so I didnt install the original one I already had. For my own purposes I have found that it is actually better to have it all the way fwd so it does not block my light. Its still loud enough to enjoy and we have even used it in the shop to watch safety videos on a computer. Very handy indeed. I plan to take it on my next vacation. It comes with a shoulder strap and easily carried anywhere.

Really LOUD!

I love it. The quality of the sound is hard to describe. I'll be riding along and all of a sudden I'll notice I am hearing things in the song that I never heard before, even on my home stereo system! That's how good it is. And it's that good (and not distorted at all) at VERY HIGH volumes. High enough to fill a large school yard.
