Small speaker big sound.

My tablet isn't very laud so I decided to get this speaker with Bluetooth. I was amazed how well it worked. Expected little from the product, got way more.

The good.
- Pairing was super easy. Device (Nexus 7) saw it, and once I clicked on the name, it paired up, no code needed. Every time I turn on the speaker, it pairs perfectly, no problems.
- The build quality is superb. It doesn't feel cheap at all. Everything seems to be very well made.
- The sound is amazing. Dialog in movies is clear and there is plenty of bass for music.
- Used it on Skype, perfect celerity from microphone and excellent sound from voice.

The Bad.
- The cable (if you don't want to use Bluetooth) is a bit short. It barely reaches the headphone port on my 7" tablet when it's in the stand-up position for watching a movie. If the headphone port was on the top of a 10" tablet, it would not reach for sure.
- The Volume and Next Track functions are the same switch. Turning up the sound on a movie results in the speaker also playing the next song from Google Music. You have to press the switch in to `pause' the song (Movie still plays).
- Although I really like the product, I think it's very expensive compared to none Bluetooth versions. None Bluetooth $22, Bluetooth $72. That's 3 to 1 with money left over.

Other thoughts.
It would have been better if the speaker used a Micro USB port instead of Mini USB. Most devices you use it with, like a phone or a tablet, use Micro USB.

Even with the few complaints I have with the device, I'm still giving it 5 stars, that's how good it is.

Innovation at its best

Ive bought tons of items at Amazon and this is the first one I've reviewed. Excellent product from every angle. First time I've used an xmini so I was very impressed with sound quality from such a small device. No question that it reaches my portable speaker needs. And yes, expanding the device does add rich bass.

Add this to the Bluetooth capabilities and it's a real winner. Hard switch for Bluetooth mode makes it super easy to pair. No code needed. Works flawlessly. Hard switch for simple control of device (play, pause, rewind, forward) is a really nice touch. Also appreciate having built in jack to connect directly if needed or chain to more.

Ordered with expedited service and got it 2 days later. Very happy with this purchase.

Truly Amazing!

I have been using this x mini Kai Bluetooth speaker for about a month now. I fell in love with this product instantly. Wonderfully built super durable and portable. Connects with my iPhone very easily and it comes with a mic for hands free calling. It's great for music as well. Has great base and sound that sometimes hard to believe that comes from a speaker that connects wirelessly! I thought $ 110 was a bit pricey but it's truly worth it. Now it's a bit cheaper as well. Recommend to anybody who has a phone or any device that has Bluttooth!
