The SimplyVibe SV-X7 (their latest) is a great little "mini boom box". Everyone who hears it is amazed at the sound.
The display could be brighter, and the instructions and menu system could be better, but with a little practice I was able to get it to do everything advertised.
Works flawlessly with a Sandisk 16GB microSD card (also purchased from Amazon).
Unlike some of their other units, this one is not "flat bottomed", and will not sit upright without using the included detachable "kickstand". The problem is that the kickstand is not attached in any way, and can get lost easily. The fix? just drill a small hole in the kickstand and attach it to the provided wrist strap with some light black cord.
Battery life is amazing, having lasted through a recent 3 day vacation without having to recharge. The battery used is a replaceable Nokia style, cheap and readily available if you want to buy a replacement or spare.
Since it charges through the provided standard USB cable, you can charge it with any standard USB wall charger or car charger, neither of which are included.
This model is the only one SimplyVibe currently makes that allows you to load MP3s into folders, then choose which folder to play from. This an important feature if you have lots of MP3s.
If mine were damaged, lost, or stolen I would definitely buy another.
