Best iSpeaker Dock I've Ever Owned/Heard

First the less than good news...estimated arrival date from seller was 17 Apr 12, arrived 18 Apr 12, so either seller or UPS can't do math (Prime shipping). Seller used huge shipping box - two or three of these could have fit in box and only a wadded up piece of paper for padding that didn't come close to filling open space. Wasn't necessary as unit solidly packed in factory box between tight fitting styrofoam.

The unit - by far the loudest, cleanest, best stereo separating speaker dock (or any portable size boom box) I've ever heard. Extremely light, my new iPad goes on easily (however I have to remove case as the case I chose has an extended piece on the bottom that prevents mounting in case)...I don't mind as the sound is well worth dropping another $30-$40 on a new case and I'll go for a pouch type case I can easily slide the iPad out of to use/mount on dock. I cannot believe the difference the dsp in this unit makes in my music. I am hearing things I've never heard before and that's with music I've owned and ripped in the 80's...iTunes downloads have to be heard to be believed...especially newer recordings. I have owned high end audiophile equipment throughout my life - now 54 - and this is equivalent to sound I've spent thousands of dollars to achieve. If you're on the fence, get off and order. I'll be ordering a second for the house, as this was for my office. Plus the vendor I ordered from was about $35 cheaper than the apple store and likely arrived much faster. You WON'T be disappointed if clean, accurate sound is your goal. Almost forgot, I've been buying docks since iPod 1, iPhone 1, and iPad 1...and all the above comments stand without reservation.

I purchased the iHome Speaker System for the iPhone & iPad (ID3BZC) as a gift for my daughter. I researched the company that owns the brand and builds many consumer products sold under many names. Since I usually buy top of the line products I was cautious when looking at this product. Bose did not have a product that could directly dock both the iPhone and iPad and many other products required a wire to plug in the iPad. My adult daughter (out of State) says she love the player and the sound is great and is very pleased with it.

Great value for $

Received my speakers today... GREAT sound... Equal to $400 Philips set I returned as this was one third the price! Compact and clear sound. More than loud enough for kitchen or rec room. Bravo iHome! Note there is no option for batteries, so if that matters, keep shopping!
