Disappointed

I have to say I was all excited to come in here and give this product a great review. I have had these speakers for a few years now, I picked them up at The Christmas Tree shop for $30, and they work great, the sound is amazing for such a small speaker system, and I have used them both at home for parties, and at work for listening during the day, and had zero complaints. After a few years, the AC plug stopped working, but I plugged a different one in, and they still work fine. So much so, that I decided to order a second set, so I could keep one permantently at home and one at work.

Why the low rating then? Because sadly, when I received my new speakers today, I excitedly plugged them in at work and...NOTHING.

The AC plug didn't work. At all.

Knowing my history with these speakers, I decided to plug in another ac plug, figuring the sound quality is good enough that I'd forgive the broken AC plug as long as they worked. The ac plug I plugged in worked fine. The "base" sub-woofer started working. HOWEVER...the two side speakers DID NOT WORK AT ALL.

Receiving a product that doesn't work was a major disappointment. These are going back today, and I won't be replacing them with the same item, unfortunately. Given the history of the AC plug on the other system I have, and now this, I can't help but wonder at the actual quality, and think that maybe I just got lucky with the set I do have that they are still working. (Crossing my fingers they keep working).

Disappointed. :(

Got to love them....

Had found these on clearance at Home Depot about 5yrs ago for about $20. My mother inlaw love's them...so got her a set for Christmas. I can hide my speakers under the christmas tree or behind a picture and people wonders where the music coming from. I used it daily for work with my Ipod...the base is great also.
