5Multi-functional, decent quality
By Blu-estLight
I've been using this speaker for about 3 days now. Here's what I found:

Sound:
It's pretty good. It has 4 speakers that you can visibly see through the black speaker mesh. I think it ads a nice visual touch. At max volume the sound can fill a room nicely. I've used it in my office and in my bedroom thus far. Volume goes up to Level 40, with an Equalizer with treble and bass that goes from -08 to 08 by intervals of 02. There is very good range in the treble and bass variance. When I blasted the treble, bass and volume at full the sound got a little distorted, but when I changed the volume from 40 to 38, the sound was clear. I'd say it depends on the music you are listening to, but if you want it LOUD, put it at Volume 38, Bass 06, Treble 06. When I just want medium level music I found that Volume 22-26 is good, and I just leave the bass and treble at 06. You can adjust the volume eithe ron the remote, or on the speaker dock. You can ONLY adjust the bass and treble with the remote. I haven't used the FM Radio function that much, but 106.7 KROQ in Los Angeles has been working well.

Physical Design:
The design looks good. It fits in nicely wherever I put it. Some speaker docks look kind of wierd lately.. like space aged designs. This one is slick, fun, and practical. The shape of it is kind of cool. I like how my iPhone docks in the middle of the two speakers. The blue clock face is a nice touch. Also, this thing runs on 6 AA batteries so it allows you take take it away from the wall outlet. I got 8 hours of play time off of a single charge of 2100mAh recharegable batteries.

Alarm Function:
The iPhone wake-up feature is cool because you can wake up to the last song that you were listening to on your iPhone. AND wake up with it FULLY CHARGED :) !!! The sound starts out low, and then it comes in and gets louder and louder until you wake up.. great idea. You can also set it to wake you up via FM radio or beeping/buzzer noise. I haven't used those options though. The Snooze button is cool for sleeping an extra 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. ALso there's a nap function but I don't really take naps so I haven't used it. The thing I liek most is that you can control the alarm with the remote so you can shut it off or set it from the bed.

Remote:
It does EVERYTHING. No complaints. I can sit in bed and go through my whole iPhone with the remote. You can get to songs, playlists artists and you can go up and down levels in the folders... even switch to podcast. It's great to have a remote when you are tired :)

Other stuff:
I've used it with my friends Droid x to play music becuase the back has a AUX jack and it comes with a cable...great. I took it to the beach and used it with batteries and it was pretty cool. It won't charge your iPhone off of AA batteries though.

I like this speaker because for me its perfect. I can see how some people might not need all the stuff this thing packs. I dont' use the FM radio so much. All the other stuff is cool. I like that its compact and still has 4 speakers. Solid product. Also it comes with a 3 year warranty.

5Perfect!!!
By Apin6890
After doing a lot of research on several docking clock radios, I decided to buy this one even though there weren't many reviews. My choices were JBL On Time, the Phillips dock, and this one. This one was much cheaper than the other two. I was able to go to walmart and test out the JBL and Phillips. Both had great sound, but after looking at the specs I decided I'd give this one a try because of the price and features.

First off, let me say that the sound comparison is equal to the Phillips and definetly gives the JBL a run for its money, and at the $60 price difference it just makes it even better!

I love how the alarm is a fade in! No more jumping out of bed to get awake :) Also, I'm betting the person that wrote the review that the alarm clock wasn't reliable, probably didn't have it in standby mode when setting the alarm. It says it in the directions, and I have yet had a problem with my alarm. The nap option is great too... who hasn't laid down for a few minutes of rest and wake up later to realize its been 2 hours?? I know I have, so the hour nap option is perfect for me. (you can also have 15, 30, and I think 45 minute naps)

Another great feature is the slot for the remote control in the BACK!! I have a toddler... that thing would be hidden within the depths of a toy box before I knew it if it wasn't for the handy slot!

No AM feature, and FM is reception is average for living out in the country but I got it for my iphone so no biggie. Oh, and I have an iPhone 2g (if it works don't fix it) with a jelly cover and had no problems connecting without taking the cover off.

The ONE thing I don't like about this, is that the clock doesn't sync with the machine so you have to manually set the time. Also, I am unsure if the batteries actually back up the clock in a power outage or if they are just there if you want to take it out and about. I'll have to test it.

I highly recommend this product especially with the warranty!!! Look no further!

3OK if you can overlook....
By Pailwriter
A couple of issues: 1) the clock will not remain illuminated making it difficult to read during the day and impossible to read at night; 2) the alarm, when using an iPod, has proven to be unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not, even though both the "alarm set" and iPod icons are visible indicating the alarm is set to wake with iPod. The alarm works fine when set to the radio.

On the positive side, the sound reproduction is great for it's size and the radio gets great reception even without having the antenna extended. The unit is compact and has a clean design.
